About Maha
Having achieved A*A*A* in A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry and Grade 9s in GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics myself, I have a very good understanding of the skills and exam technique needed by students to succeed at GCSE Level and I am determined to help students to achieve high grades.
I currently also tutor KS2 and KS3 students for Maths, English and Science. In the past, I have been involved in mentoring and helping students in my school with Maths and Science, at both GCSE and AS Level, which has allowed me to see how my teaching has helped students to make progress in their learning. As part of being a science enrichment ambassador in my school, I have previously had the opportunity to run science workshops for primary school children, which has added to my experience of teaching.

My teaching method is flexible in general to suit each student as every student learns differently. In Maths, I prefer to work through examples of questions with students to explain calculations step by step in a way that the student will understand and remember. For Science, I usually explain concepts by starting with basics and gradually building up to the level of knowledge required. I then work through questions with students to apply this knowledge and to develop exam technique, while helping students to retain this knowledge by building useful revision techniques that work for each individual student.
