About Adam
In my A level maths exams, I scored 277 out of a total 300 marks, losing only 23 marks and scoring 92% across all three 2-hour A level papers.
Having just gone through my A Levels and GCSEs recently, I know the techniques to answering the harder questions to access the higher grades and focus on building the technique to apply knowledge to answer unfamiliar questions rather than rote memorisation methods other tutors opt for. I’ve found by building these skills, students perform much better in exams and achieve the grades they want.
I achieved eleven grade 9s at GCSE and have 3 A*s in biology, chemistry and maths as my UCAS grades in addition to an A* in EPQ. I also successfully obtained an offer from King’s College London for dentistry (ranked 1st in the world for dentistry in the QS world rankings 2020)
I have experience tutoring students of all abilities and learning styles and have passed a Standard and Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, clearing me to work with students under the age of 18.

Using past experience from over 50 hours of tutoring a range of students, I adapt my tutoring style to better fit with each individual’s learning style, with a focus on building exam technique to solve the harder application based questions to access the grade 9/A* level. I like to work with students through difficult problems to stretch their understanding and give them a different method to approach difficult questions, focusing on learning key points specific to mark schemes as well as application questions
