About Fatma

Hello! I’m Fatma, and I’m currently working towards my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) as a trainee primary school teacher. Teaching is more than just a career for me—it’s a calling. I genuinely love helping children discover their strengths and watching them grow in confidence, both inside and outside the classroom.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as both lower ability (LA) and higher ability (HA) pupils. My experience in mainstream schools has taught me that every child learns differently, and I’m passionate about finding creative and supportive ways to help each student shine.

I believe that learning should be a positive and enjoyable experience. My approach is always personalised—I take the time to get to know each child, understand what motivates them, and adapt my lessons to suit their unique needs. Whether we’re tackling tricky topics, building up core skills, or preparing for exams, I aim to make every lesson engaging and meaningful.

For me, the best part of teaching is seeing that “lightbulb moment” when something clicks for a student. I love creating a classroom atmosphere where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate their progress—no matter how big or small.

Outside of teaching, I’m a big fan of reading, going to the gym, and taking long walks in nature to recharge. I’m also committed to learning and growing as an educator, so I regularly keep up with new ideas and best practices in teaching.

I’d be delighted to work with you and your child, and I’m excited to support them on their learning journey. Let’s work together to unlock their potential and make learning something they look forward to every day!

My Teaching Approach

Learning should feel exciting, personal, and even a little bit magical. As someone who’s spent time in busy classrooms and worked with children of all abilities, I know that every student is wonderfully unique. That’s why my teaching style is all about getting to know you—what makes you tick, what you find tricky, and what sparks your curiosity.

What Makes My Lessons Different

Personal Touch:
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all lessons. I take the time to listen, ask questions, and really understand what you need from me as your tutor. Whether you love hands-on activities, need a bit more time to process new ideas, or get excited by creative challenges, I’ll shape our sessions around you.

A Safe Space to Grow:
I know that learning can sometimes feel daunting, especially if you’ve struggled before or worry about making mistakes. My goal is to create a warm, encouraging environment where you feel comfortable to try, ask questions, and even get things wrong—because that’s how we learn best! I celebrate every step forward, no matter how small.

Interactive and Fun:
I believe lessons should be something you look forward to. We might use games, stories, art, or real-life examples to bring topics to life. I love seeing that “lightbulb moment” when something clicks, and I’ll always find ways to make learning feel fresh and engaging.

What a Lesson With Me Looks Like

- A Friendly Start:
We’ll begin by having a quick chat about your day and how you’re feeling. I want you to feel relaxed and ready to learn.

- Looking Back, Moving Forward:
We’ll spend a few minutes revisiting what we did last time, just to make sure everything’s clear and you feel confident.

- Clear Goals:
I’ll let you know what we’re aiming for in our session, so you always know what to expect.

- Learning Together:
We’ll dive into activities, discussions, and practice—always at your pace. If something isn’t working, we’ll try a new approach together.

- Reflect and Celebrate:
At the end, we’ll chat about what went well and set a small goal for next time. I love hearing your thoughts and making sure our lessons fit you perfectly.

Why I Love What I Do

I’ve worked with so many different children—those who need a bit of extra support, those who are ready for a challenge, and everyone in between. What matters most to me is helping you feel confident, capable, and proud of your progress. I’m always learning too, keeping up with new ideas and ways to make our lessons even better.

If you’re looking for a tutor who’ll cheer you on, adapt to your needs, and make learning feel like an adventure, I’d be delighted to work with you. Let’s make your learning journey something special—together!
