  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn, especially English. Over time, I realized that I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and ability. Private tutoring allows me to focus on each student’s individual needs and learning style, which makes teaching much more rewarding.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

i teach all subjects, including English, Mathematics and Science, as well as English speaking adults. I enjoy making lessons interactive and adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs. For younger students, I focus on building strong foundations and confidence. For adult learners, I enjoy improving conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills for work or everyday life. Every topic presents an opportunity to help students grow, so I enjoy teaching a wide variety of subjects.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes. I was inspired by teachers who were patient, encouraging, and made learning enjoyable instead of stressful. They showed me that a great teacher doesn’t just teach a subject, they inspire confidence and motivate students to believe in themselves. That is the kind of tutor I strive to be.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor should be patient, understanding, adaptable, and encouraging. Every student learns differently, so it’s important to adjust teaching methods to suit each learner. Building trust, making lessons engaging, and celebrating small achievements also help students stay motivated.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

One lesson I’ve carried with me is that confidence often matters just as much as ability. I have seen students who initially struggled with English improve significantly once they felt comfortable asking questions without fear of making mistakes. That experience reinforced my belief that creating a positive learning environment is just as important as teaching the material itself.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

One challenge has been adapting my teaching methods to suit students with different learning styles and abilities. However, this has made me a more flexible tutor. I continuously explore new teaching strategies and resources to make lessons engaging and effective for every learner.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My biggest passion is teaching itself. I enjoy helping students understand concepts that once seemed difficult and seeing their confidence grow over time. I especially love helping children build a strong academic foundation and helping adult learners become more confident English speakers.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?

I believe my adaptability, patience, and genuine commitment to my students set me apart. Since I teach multiple primary school subjects as well as English for adults, I tailor every lesson to suit each student’s age, goals, and learning style. I also believe learning should be enjoyable, so I create a positive, engaging, and interactive classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and asking questions. By balancing structure with a friendly and approachable teaching style, I help students stay motivated, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
