About Margaret
"I am a welcoming piano teacher with 10 years of experience and a degree in Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano. My teaching journey centers on a heartwarming, intergenerational style that brings people of all ages together through the joy of music. I love designing custom lessons for young siblings, collaborative parent-child pairs, and active retirees looking for a rewarding hobby.
My studio provides a peaceful, community-focused environment where we use music to support sharp memory and physical coordination. I remember teaching a grandfather and his young grandson who learned a simple duet together to perform at a family holiday dinner. To support your musical growth, we cover essential topics like advanced pedal technique, tone balance, and dynamics shaping. This exploratory method is perfect for individuals who want to use the piano as a personal emotional outlet to unwind. I also provide a solid foundation for students who want to learn current hits and build their technical skills simultaneously.
For instance, we might take a simple three-note melody and experiment with the sustain pedal to create a massive spacey sound. My goal is to help you play with real feeling and technical ease right from your very first day. Every lesson is a warm, inviting space where your unique musical curiosity guides how we learn and create together."
