About Elizabeth
I am a Mathematics and Data Science graduate with a strong academic background, holding an MSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Applied Data Science. I have also previously provided private tuition in mathematics, which gave me valuable experience in helping students build confidence and improve their understanding.
Alongside my academic background, I have worked in healthcare in the UK, which strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to support people in a calm and structured way. I am now returning to my passion for mathematics and education, with the goal of helping students succeed and feel confident in subjects they often find challenging.
I enjoy teaching because I understand that mathematics can feel difficult or overwhelming at times, and I find it very rewarding to break concepts down in a simple, logical way that actually makes sense to students. My aim is not just to help students pass exams, but to help them truly understand the subject and build long-term confidence.
I am committed to creating a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.

My lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and fully tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I believe that everyone can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance, patience, and practice.
In my sessions, I focus on building strong foundations first, ensuring that students truly understand the core concepts rather than just memorising methods. I then gradually move towards exam-style questions, helping students develop confidence, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
I adapt my teaching pace depending on the student, whether they need to strengthen basics, prepare for exams, or push for top grades. I also provide step-by-step explanations, plenty of practice questions, and exam tips to improve performance.
For students who need support in statistics or early data science concepts, I also bring in my applied data science background to make learning more practical and relevant.
My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
