About Salman
Hi, I’m Salman, a sixth-form student with a strong interest in Maths and Science. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I understand what it is like to be a student preparing for exams, dealing with challenging topics and trying to improve your grades.
I want to tutor because I enjoy helping others understand things they previously found difficult. I believe that sometimes a topic becomes much easier when it is explained in a different way, especially by someone who has recently studied the same material.
I am patient, approachable and reliable, and I aim to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Rather than simply giving answers, I want to help students understand how to reach them independently and build confidence in their own abilities.
I offer support to primary, KS3 and GCSE students and adapt my lessons to each student’s ability, goals and learning style. Whether a student wants to strengthen their foundations, catch up on a difficult topic or prepare for an upcoming exam, I will work with them step by step to help them improve.

My approach to tutoring is friendly, patient and focused on helping students understand topics rather than simply memorising answers. I adapt my teaching style to each student, breaking difficult concepts into smaller, easier steps and using examples before giving them questions to attempt independently.
During lessons, I like to identify the areas a student finds most difficult and focus on improving both their understanding and confidence. I can use practice questions, worked examples, revision techniques and exam-style questions depending on the student’s level and goals.
Lessons would typically last around 45–60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student.
As a sixth-form student, I have recently completed my GCSEs, giving me up-to-date experience of the curriculum, revision methods and exam preparation. I understand the difficulties students can face because I have recently studied these subjects myself. I also have experience working with and supporting younger people through school activities and ambassador roles.
My lessons are aimed primarily at primary, KS3 and GCSE students who would like additional support with their schoolwork, help understanding difficult topics, or guidance with revision and exam preparation.
