About Elizabeth
Do you often feel like you understand the lecture but fall apart when staring at a blank page during an exam? I share concept maps for every chapter to help struggling students and intermediate learners organize their thoughts effectively.
My 12 years of experience allow me to break down word problems and geometry into manageable segments. Whether you need homework help or are preparing for a difficult competition, we will focus on building a stronger arithmetic foundation.
I hold a Master of Science in Pure Mathematics from UNSW, which helps me explain tricky trigonometry and mensuration clearly. Adults and students alike find that my calm, rigorous approach provides the stability needed for long-term success. We will solve these problems by using consistent strategies that actually work. I spent my formative years focusing on the rigorous logic that defines pure mathematics. Having completed a Master of Science in Pure Mathematics from UNSW, I have now spent 12 years teaching. My current work involves supporting 297 students who are often navigating difficult transitions in their academic journeys.
I frequently find myself advocating for more girls to pursue advanced maths subjects throughout their senior school years. My students are generally top-decile Year 11 and 12 pupils aiming for major universities like Sydney or Melbourne.
They arrive with diverse goals ranging from actuarial studies to engineering. I enjoy the process of clearing up common misconceptions during our sessions together. It feels natural to guide learners through these hurdles.
