About Annemarie
Music has been an essential part of my life since I was approx. 4 years old - that's when I started taking piano lessons. It has truly shaped who I am. I completed my secondary musical and academic studies at the Grammar and Music School of the City of Prague, where I received rigorous training in classical piano performance and theory. Currently, I am continuing my passion as an undergraduate piano student at the TU Dublin Conservatoire.
Alongside performing, teaching has always been close to my heart. I have extensive hands-on experience guiding students individually, including teaching piano at summer music camps, which taught me how to keep lessons engaging, creative, and tailored to each personality.
My goal as a teacher is to share that genuine joy of music. I focus on building a safe, motivating space where students develop solid technical foundations, healthy habits, and their own musical voice at their own pace.

I offer individual piano and music theory lessons tailored to each student's goal, age, and skill level. From complete beginners taking their first steps to advanced players refining their performance.
My teaching method focuses on:
- Healthy technique and posture: building tension-free playing, fluid finger dexterity, and beautiful tone production right from the start.
- Musicality and expression: understanding phrasing, dynamics, and the emotional character of each piece.
- Practical music theory and sight-reading: learning to read sheet music fluently and understanding harmony in a natural, engaging way.
- Personalized repertoire: exploring classical masterpieces alongside modern pieces, film music, or contemporary favorites to keep practice exciting.
Standard lessons are typically 45 or 60 minutes long (with 30-minute options available for younger children). Every lesson is conducted in a supportive, encouraging, and patient atmosphere designed to make musical progress feel both natural and rewarding.

Annemarie is my classmate from the music high school and also a colleague from the summer music courses in the Czech Republic, where we both taught playing the piano.
