About Alex
Hi my name is Dr Alex Simpson and I am a cancer immunology research fellow at University College London (UCL). I have experience of teaching undergraduates in biochemistry/biomedical science/immunology at the University of Southampton as well as online tutoring 8 students across first - fourth year of biological science degrees I have tutored university students from UCL, University of Southampton, University of Bristol and University of Kent both through Superprof (and outside this platform) If you would like any further information then please let me know!

An initial 1:1 will help establish how I can help and if I am suitable for the student. If so, I will design lessons according to the student's requirements/criteria and check the student is happy before proceeding. My teaching methodology involves using problem solving, story telling and information recall to instil knowledge into students. Small tests are used to ensure that students remember what has been taught!

Perfect! Alex is a great tutor. He helped me to prepare for my Immunology exam. Also, he helped me with my master degree project. Alex is an excellent tutor and he is able to help in a postgraduate level. He has a great knowledge about the subject and makes difficult concepts easy to understand. He's an excellent tutor I can't recommend him enough!

Alex tutored me in biomedical science for 1 year to help me catch up with my degree. The university did not offer me enough support to get by so that's why I turned to Alex. He really helped me understand difficult concepts and was available when ever I needed him. I cannot thank him enough for what he has enabled me to achieve!!
I’ve been a regular tutee of Alex for over the past 2 years for university degree level (biomedicine) and can honestly say he so is knowledgeable in all aspects and without the sessions I would not have been able to achieve the results I have today and was so supportive throughout my degree. We covered a variety of lecture materials, articles, past papers and even essay plans. he always had suggestions on where to start and gave advice on where I could improve on and When I didn’t understand a concept, Alex would find alternative ways of explaining and was calm and patient throughout.
