About Dominic
I am a PhD student in Applied Mathematics (nearing completion) at Keele University with extensive experience in teaching undergraduate Mathematics modules. I previously obtained a First Class Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Keele in 2018. I am a dedicated and patient individual with a passion for helping students reach their full potential.
Over the past three years, I have taught students of various ages and ability levels at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This includes mature students and students with special educational needs. I have extensive experience teaching Algebra, Calculus, Vector Calculus, Complex Variable, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations and Continuum Mechanics. I have also tutored students at A Level, GCSE and KS2.

I believe in a teaching approach which builds a fundamental understanding of mathematical concepts through simple explanations and tailored example questions, as opposed to inadequate brute memorization techniques which are all too common in the educational system. I have been widely praised in module evaluation feedback from students at Keele University for my relaxed approach, and for my ability to explain difficult concepts in a straightforward and simple manner. I also place a lot of focus on developing revision and exam technique in order to both limit the pressure of exams and maximize the student's success.
