About Katie
Hi, I’m Katie, and I know from experience that learning isn’t always easy. Sometimes we face challenges that feel confusing or even discouraging—but that doesn’t mean we’re not capable. I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance, support, and encouragement. I approach teaching with empathy and patience because I understand what it’s like to struggle with a subject. My goal is to help students feel understood, empowered, and motivated. I'm here not just to teach, but to listen, to guide, and to remind you that you're capable of more than you think. I get to know my students' interests, strengths, and struggles so I can design lessons that are both academically effective and personally meaningful. I’m patient, communicative, and always encouraging—because I know learning can be challenging, and confidence is key to long-term success.
My lessons are designed for elementary students, particularly those in need of support with English Language Arts, writing, speaking, or ESL. I also work well with students who need extra motivation, creative engagement, or a more individualized pace.
