About Maria
I am currently studying Psychological Behavioural Science at the University of Cambridge. Attending Oxbridge was a childhood dream of mine, which would not have been possible without the many teachers and tutors along the way who helped me succeed in my application and achieve my grades. As a result of this, I truly wish to help other students accomplish their own academic dreams by helping them get the grades they deserve.

I am a passionate tutor with a love for STEM subjects! I believe that teaching is most effective when using engaging techniques. These include frequent questions throughout the lesson to test and consolidate the student’s understanding, as well as using videos or hand-drawn diagrams to explain concepts in greater depth. Each student has their own preferred learning styles and I strongly believe in tailoring my lessons to suit the individual. Typically, my lessons are an hour long, but this can be extended or shortened based on preference. I teach GCSE Science and Maths. I have achieved 9s and 8s in these subjects at GCSE level, and 3 A*s at A level in bio, chem and maths. I have tutored before, and really enjoy helping students achieve the grades they desire!
