About Uliana
I am a recent Grammar School graduate and an incoming Economics student at the University of Warwick. I studied Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Chemistry for A levels and had consistently achieved A*A*A*A in my exams and ranked 2nd in my cohort of maths students. I have also trained and completed the Test of Mathematics for University Admission and I am a CISI financial qualification award winner. My passion for teaching comes from seeing first-hand how a dedicated and supportive teacher can transform a student's life, and I carry this with me when I experience the joy of seeing my students overcome barriers and grow their knowledge through passionate learning,

My teaching approach is highly structured and focused on building strong foundations before progressing to more advanced material. I begin by identifying any gaps in a student's understanding, as these often become barriers when tackling more complex topics. Once those gaps are addressed and the core concepts are secure, I gradually introduce more challenging questions that encourage deeper thinking and problem-solving. I believe this step-by-step process not only improves understanding and confidence but also trains students to think critically and approach difficult problems independently.
I teach GCSE maths and further maths and A level maths, further maths, and chemistry. My typical length of a lesson ranges from 45 minutes to 2 hours for more in-depth learning.
I have experience in leading private GCSE maths lessons for one year and I have also worked as an 11+ tutor for children ages 8-11 for over a year, where I led small group lessons in maths, English, and verbal and non-verbal reasoning, helping students understand topics from new perspectives, tailored to their learning needs.
