About Nicole
I am a dedicated Business Analytics student at Florida International University with a strong academic record and a passion for helping students build both skills and confidence in math. As a Dean’s List student, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, which I use to explain mathematical concepts in clear, structured, and easy-to-understand ways.
I understand that many students feel overwhelmed or discouraged when it comes to math. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to help students feel capable and confident in their abilities. I create a supportive and professional learning environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are viewed as opportunities to grow.
I am patient, organized, and committed to each student’s progress. Every lesson is thoughtfully prepared, focused on the student’s individual needs, and designed to strengthen foundational skills. As a Business Analytics student at Florida International University, I approach tutoring with structure, patience, and a strong focus on building confidence. My teaching method is centered on breaking down math concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations that students can truly understand rather than memorize. I believe math becomes easier when students see patterns and learn how to think logically through problems.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material to reinforce retention, followed by guided practice on the current topic. I model how to solve problems, then gradually shift responsibility to the student while providing support and encouragement. I include interactive exercises, real-life examples, and short challenges to keep students engaged and motivated.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students and create a comfortable learning environment where they feel safe asking questions. I am patient, organized, and experienced in analytical thinking, which allows me to explain concepts in multiple ways until they click.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students who need support with foundational math skills, homework help, test preparation, or confidence building in subjects such as arithmetic, fractions, decimals, pre-algebra, and introductory algebra.
