About Shona
I am a first-year international student studying a Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University. I grew up in an English speaking household in Indonesia and spent nearly two years after high school teaching English as a second language at various public schools and language schools in Indonesia. I taught both private classes and group classes at a variety of ages from 4 years up to young adults. I also have experience with IELTS and conversation classes.

I am very easy-going and enjoy a friendly atmosphere in the classroom so my classes are best suited to those who prefer a more relaxed class. My teaching method is focused on building speaking skills by having regular conversations with students about their lives, current events and whatever comes up. After catching up with the students, we go into the lesson material. However, I encourage continued conversation as long as it’s in English.
