About Angela
I am a Deaf native ASL user, but I do speak English and can work with you even if you know little signs. As a linguist (MA in Linguistics) and ASL tutor, I blend my love for languages, patience, and adaptability to create dynamic, student-centered lessons. My work with the Deaf community and background in Mexican Sign Language enriches lessons with real-world insights. My expertise in sign language structure and Deaf culture ensures authentic learning, while my flexible approach tailors each session to your goals—whether conversational fluency, academic success, or cultural connection. I believe language learning should be interactive, immersive, and tailored to your unique goals, pace, and learning styles. I do one-on-one approach, and can incorporate Deaf culture including current trends.
I am willing to teach all levels from "how to fingerspell" to mastering classifiers and ASL literature. If you are student needing enforcement, needing to brush up on your ASL through conversation, or if you are parents of Deaf child and need resources, I can be there to help.
