About Brandon
As a UC Davis Graduate in Chemical Engineering, I have had multiple classes in advanced math and chemistry classes and would like to help other students succeed in these same courses. I have 3 years of experience working in a college chemistry stockroom, adding practical experience in Chemistry. I was employed by Sacramento City College to be a beacon tutor (group peer tutor) for both General and Organic Chemistry classes and also did private tutoring for these classes as well. I loved my Chemistry Classes, especially Organic Chemistry, and I hope to help other students enjoy these classes as much as I did.

I am a firm believer that the best way to learn a subject is to look forward to learning that subject and, as such, I try to never let my lessons get boring. I value interacting with my tutees and am always open to questions and will let you try the problems first and work through them with you so that I am not just talking at you for the whole lesson. I also focus on problem-solving a lot and will explain my thought process as I work through problems so that you know what methods I am using to solve problems.
A typical lesson with me will start with any immediate questions or clarifications about recent material from the lecture. After that, I give out a worksheet, which I have made, that will focus on a select few topics from class and drive home the important points to pick up from the current unit. Afterward, as time permits, I will open the lesson to cover anything else that you have a question about or give tips and tricks if I know of anything that might help you.
Overall, my mantra is that I am here to help you, so I want to tailor my lessons to you.
