About Dan
My name is Dan and I'm a musician and educator based out of Pittsburgh, PA. Since 2008, I have taught hundreds of students on various instruments including guitar, piano, vocals, ukulele, trumpet, and more. My experience and expertise has help guide all of my students to reach their musical goals.
For the past decade, I have been a professional freelance musician. I have toured the country and have opened for national acts like Robert Randolph, Of Montreal, Tom Tom Club and more. As a session musician, I have worked with labels like Misra Records, Wednesday Records, and dozens of independent recordings by adding my distinctive style of playing piano and guitar on their projects.

My teaching philosophy revolves around technique and music theory. I believe that when a student has a solid foundation of technique and theory they can learn to play anything. This philosophy has shown great success over the last decade with many of my students going on to become teachers and professionals themselves.
