About Colby
I am a student studying to become a high school educator, I am passionate and dedicated to becoming a successful teacher and tutor. I have learned how to create a productive learning environment in the classroom and in a tutoring setting. I excel in my communication skills which help me engage with learners on an individual basis or in a classroom setting. I pride myself on being able to constantly reflect and improve my teaching methods and strategies. I am creative and I can easily adapt to the learners' diverse learning needs.

I enjoy using a sort of "flipped classroom" methodology. This helps learners to find where exactly they are struggling as they have to talk me through their step-by-step process. I prefer teaching in English, however I do fully understand Afrikaans and I can give explanations in Afrikaans where need be. Students can expect an interactive lesson, we will communicate and work through areas together. We will problem-solve and ensure we have covered all our bases. I excel more in grade 7 till grade 11 learning levels.
