About Maria
I will graduate from a Dance Major in Mexican Folklorico this Fall 2023. I’ve had classes from Dance Theory, Dance Choreography, Dance History, World Dance, Dance Science, etc. I’m also a well rounded dancer, i’ve taken flamenco, modern, ballet and jazz classes. I’m bilingual, and some of the classes that I will be teaching have a lot of spanish words since that’s how folklorico is mostly taught.

Learn how to appropriately begin a dance class, through a warmup and stretch. Beginners will learn the basic zapateados used in folklorico dancing, as well as arm placement and posture depending on the region that’s being taught. Intermediate and advanced will be able to choose what they want to learn, and the speed of my teaching.
