About Niall
I have been studying Spanish for 6 years, starting as a complete beginner when I was 13 and developing my understanding through completing GCSE and A-level Spanish. As a 2nd-year university student, I currently have an approximate B2 level (CEFR) of fluency in Spanish. I feel this background as an English student of Spanish enables me to help other students in their learning of Spanish as a foreign language, as I likely have experienced most of their struggles in learning the language myself. I am also a very patient person who enjoys teaching, especially in subjects which I am passionate about such as Spanish. Beyond Spanish, if prospective students are interested in foreign languages in general, I would also be happy to tutor in beginner’s level Russian.

My lessons would offer an approach tailored towards meeting GCSE and A-level qualification standards as someone with a very recent memory of studying at those levels, focusing on perfecting the basics of the language (verb conjugations, breadth of vocabulary, pronunciation/accent, etc.) before beginning to develop familiarity with more complex language structures. Personally, I also love to consume Spanish-speaking media (particularly Argentinian), meaning that lessons could also involve discussing a wide range of Spanish-speaking entertainment in Spanish according to each students’ interests. Specifically grammar orientated lessons would be taught mostly in English, whilst oral lessons would involve conversation largely in Spanish dependent on the student’s ability.
