About Ruby
My name is Ruby and I am currently studying Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. I achieved 3 high As at A levels in Philosophy, English literature and Biology and hope to help students to feel the same passion for the subjects I teach as much as I feel it. I am excited to spark curiosity and unlock the potential within each of my students. My want to teach stems from a belief in the empowering feeling of knowledge and understanding, and the satisfaction both I and the student get from that ‘aha’ moment. Guided by empathy, patience, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every individual feels valued and empowered to thrive. Teaching for me is about nurturing growth, fostering critical thinking (a skill my degree subject has taught me very well!), and instilling a lifelong love for learning.
