About Molly
I am currently studying an English and philosophy degree at the University of Sheffield. I enjoy and am passionate about both reading and writing, and aim to inspire this in other young people. I understand how difficult it can be to know if you're on the right track with your studies as one-on-one feedback with teachers isn't always available. Through this tutoring, I hope to aid in shaping confident English students, and inspire them to hopefully continue with their studies of English in higher education.

Tutoring would start with myself assessing the student's current work and pinpointing their weaknesses against the student's exam board mark scheme, as well as asking the student themselves what they feel they're struggling with. Lessons length would typically be an hour unless other arrangements are discussed beforehand. I achieved grade 9 in both GCSE English literature and language, and A grade at A-level, and I can tutor at either of these levels. I have tutored in the past, as a year 13 student, tutoring both year 12 and year 11 students in both literature and language. Lesson plans and teaching methods would vary depending on the session's focus, however I will always prioritise what methods the student thinks work best for them. Tutoring will always include practice essay questions and feedback as this is the most effective way to prepare for the real exam.
