About Sai

I am a Korean-Japanese immigrant and an undergraduate pre-med student at NYU with a passion for education and helping others succeed. I previously founded a nonprofit tutoring initiative supporting underfunded schools in STEM subjects. I led the nonprofit and tutored for three years! Outside of academics, I enjoy anime, K-pop, and reading! I am friendly, patient, and approachable, and I hope to make learning both rewarding and enjoyable for every student.

My tutoring approach is centered around personalization, flexibility, and making learning enjoyable. I customize every lesson based on each student's individual needs, learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement. I believe everyone learns differently, so I adapt!

My lessons typically involve reviewing material, explaining challenging concepts, working through practice problems together, and reinforcing understanding through independent practice. I am also happy to adapt lessons for homework help, test preparation, or general academic improvement.

What sets me apart is that I am extremely flexible, friendly, social, and patient. I understand how important education is, but I also believe learning should be fun and engaging! I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel supported, confident, and never afraid to ask questions. I want to be more than just a tutor; I want to be someone students can relate to and feel comfortable learning with.

I tutor all levels of mathematics up to and including Calculus I, as well as all elementary, middle school, and high school science subjects, including biology and chemistry. I welcome students of all ages and abilities.
