About Dominic
I love working with people and learning new things and passing on my experience. I hope to help aspiring and advanced designers by guiding and teaching them up to date footwear design processes and techniques . After being in the footwear industry for over 20 years I have learnt what it takes to be a commercial, conceptual and technical designer across all categories, genders and markets. I can help you whether its just the beginning, for a university project, building a portfolio or working towards a job application.

I hope to teach and guide you to the next level in your footwear journey no matter what experience you have. I will instil the principles of hand sketching, last making, CAD design, Photoshop rendering and all the technical presentation tools you need to be a fully fledged footwear designer. I will help you build your skillset and confidence to take you to the level you need to achieve the goals and dreams you have set yourself. All levels of experience welcome. There are steps in learning how to design, present and build a range of footwear and I will tailor the teaching to your ability and needs. By the end of your time with me you will be able to work to a brief and deliver top level presentations and tech packs. I will use live examples of the shoe making process as I have access to footwear factories and will set a range of briefs depending on your interests. Im confident you will enjoy the experience and come out of it with a body of work that can go directly into your portfolio. If you wanted and you are ready when we reach that stage we can even make prototypes and final footwear samples out of Portugal (depending on factory capacity.)

I meet Dom when I started working at AllSaints x3 years ago. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Footwear - designing both Menswear and Womenswear, and I've learnt so much from him.
