About Julia
I have had a multitude of solo, chamber and orchestral experiences including:
- Solo performance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (2021, 2024), Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra (2017, 2022, 2025), Montgomery Symphony Orchestra (2021)
- Side-by-side performances with a professional orchestra (BSO), collaborating with renowned artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Ledisi, Jonathan Carney, etc.
- Founder of Charm City Chamber Players, performing at numerous engagements supporting charitable causes
- Concertmaster of Maryland Junior and Senior All State Orchestra
- Performed in the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Caroline H. Hume Concert Hall, Sol Joseph Recital Hall, Cha Chi Ming Recital Hall, Meadowmount Concert Hall, etc.
- Studied at summer festivals including Sounding Point Academy (2022,2023), Meadowmount (2024), and Heifetz Institute (2026)
Including my musical experiences, I had a 5.75 weighted GPA throughout high school, can help with AP Music Theory (5), and was top 2% of my graduating class.
I currently study with Ms. Patinka Kopec at the Manhattan School of Music, and I have previously studied with Ms. Amy Beth Horman, Dr. James Stern, Mr. I-hao Lee, Mr. Simon James, Dr. Swiatoslaw Kuznik.
In addition to loving music, I love reading and considered double majoring music with journalism or psychology. I value hard work, determination, and kindness.

I offer patient, supportive violin tutoring for students, emphasizing strong fundamentals, curiosity for music and performance confidence.
My teaching prioritizes healthy technique and structuring practice to avoid injuries, by guiding students to develop good habits at a young age.
Arts education is vital in a child’s growth and development, often helping to build discipline and focus, which I find extremely important.
