About Marie
Hello!! My name is Marie, and I was born in Toronto but moved to Korea when I was 10. However, I moved back here to finish my university studies. I previously studied at a rigorous AP school, taking multiple AP math and science classes, which have shaped my knowledge today. I have had many experiences with teaching children, from mentoring a swim class to teaching English and math to middle school students with financial struggles. Working with kids and teaching them new subjects is especially meaningful to me because I get to witness their growth firsthand. Seeing a child gain confidence, understand something that once felt difficult, and begin to enjoy learning makes me incredibly proud. Watching their curiosity develop and knowing I played a small role in that progress is what motivates me to keep teaching and supporting students in their academic journeys.

Easy teaching for easy understanding. A typical lesson plan includes going through a concept, building on it with practice problems, and ending it with a mini quiz! The material is mostly for foundational science and math up to pre-calculus. I believe perfection comes with practice, so example questions and practice problems will be a major part of the lessons.
