About Lukas
I am a current student at UNSW, second year studying Aerospace Engineering. My educational journey has been nothing if not turbulent, the COVID pandemic hitting me in year 9 and 10 completely threw me off course and I suffered from being behind in mathematics and science. I began to despise the subjects, but coming into my HSC in year 11, I knew something had to change. I signed up for Extension 1 Mathematics in year 11, and devoted time to understanding, catching up and learning the vital mathematics concepts I was missing out on. This snowballed into a love for the subject, and for learning as a whole, which I applied to all of my HSC subjects, doing particularly well in physics and 4 unit mathematics, and carrying this yearn for learning approach through into university, where I have been tutoring for over a year while also studying.

My tutoring method aims to encourage understanding over memorization. As a student myself, I loathe memorizing concepts without fully understanding them, so I aim to apply this to my tutoring, ensuring fully understanding the ideas thoroughly before moving forward. Furthermore, I believe this approach makes the content so much more rich and interesting than what is often taught to students.
