About Antonio
I am a current student at Eton College, receiving an academic scholarship known as the ‘Orwell Award’. As an Orwell scholar, I have had the luxury of both state schools and independent schools, knowing both intimately. Thus, I have the knowledge on how one succeeds in both. I harnessed tips and tricks to receive straight A’s with 5 A*s in all my STEM subjects. I have always loved exploring the depths of my own knowledge, going above and beyond out of sheer passion. However, my passions include more than simply classroom academia. I enjoy a variety of extracurriculars from, rugby to kickboxing, racket sports to chess, travelling to modern foreign languages. All of which have taught me to do everything to the best of my ability, which reflects heavily in my personal and teaching philosophy.

Over the three years I have been doing private tutoring, the best approach for me is one that helps the tutee to enjoy maths. I believe that if a person can build a rapport with the tutor and connect with the subject they are studying, they will prosper. Thus, I find it best to have an encouraging, motivating environment in which the tutee becomes excited to tackle the problem with which they are faced. They become excited to learn; share a passion for maths such as I have. This mentality is what I’ve used over the past few years, taking students from 4/5 at GCSE to 9s. These results are continuous reminders to me to inspire, encourage and teach students so that they too can succeed with Maths.
