I take a very application-focused approach to my own studies. I believe that, with STEM classes in particular, you can only learn as much as you use. So, a typical lesson with me will look like: 1. Go over material 2. Jumping into problems early to get a grasp of what exactly there is to learn! 3. Go back into the material again with application in mind, knowing where the pieces will fit in the problems. Each of my lessons should take about 50 minutes, a normal lecture length. I am very well versed in putting my methodologies into words and a plan of attack!
