About Charlie
I am a student in my second year of study at Durham University. I am passionate about the sciences and keen to share this passion. I am interested in teaching and helping students excel. Since starting university I have taken part in a lot of different extra curricular activities, including Event planning and learning how to row.

I aim to start with a student by placing what they already know and understand what areas they struggle with. I will do this by a quick assessment that they would work through before the session and send over to me so that we can go through it together in the first session. We will also discuss if there are any areas in which they feel they struggle with not covered by the assessment.
With this information, I take it away and create a plan for how to address these areas. I comprise my sessions of me teaching and demonstrating, then providing some activities and then a higher level exam question for them to take away and work on over the following week. That way the following session can be started by going through the problem together.
