About Izabela
I hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a specialization in Developmental Genetics from Stony Brook University and I am a current Master's student in Biology at NYU. I have taken highly technical classes and am passionate to help my students understand science and not just memorize it. Students appreciate my patience, organization, and ability to connect complex science concepts to real-world examples. I look forward to meeting with you!

My teaching approach emphasizes making science topics intuitive rather than memorized! I break down material using analogies, diagrams, and exam-style reasoning questions so students can learn to think like a scientist rather than just recall terms. My typical lesson plan includes a warm up, core lesson, application and then a wrap up. What sets me apart is my experience as a student and lab researcher in highly technical courses, so I understand where students get lost and how to fix it. I explain material the way I wish it had been explained to me. I teach middle school, high school, and college students in various biology classes such as Living Environment, AP Bio, and university level biology courses.
