I began tutoring fellow students in math during my Junior year of high school and have continued expanding my knowledgebase since then. I like to have a plan of topics to be covered with the student prior to a session, talking to them about what some areas they excel at and struggle with are. From there, we can go through a quick lecture I prepare with example problems I do with them before I let them start practicing on their own. I feel that my being closer to a student than a teacher makes my explanations and breakdown of topics easier to digest because I understand the context they are coming into the subject with.
