About Amanda
I have been teaching high school mathematics for 14 years. In both public schools where I've taught, I have been sought after to work with students who have historically struggled with math throughout elementary, middle and high school, due to my patient approach. I am also the teacher of choice to work with ESL students who are struggling with a language barrier as well as math difficulties. I work on building a student's self-confidence and ability to focus on strengths, and will never make a student feel bad about mistakes as we must learn to embrace them to get better.
