About Katrina
I am a school counselor in the making with up to date information about the best approaches for supporting and teaching students. I have my Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Family & Human Services and am currently working towards my Master's of Education in School Counseling. I am currently a student-teacher in a kindergarten classroom and also have three months of experience tutoring and supporting a third-grader during distance learning.

I support elementary school students in all subject areas in both English and Spanish. For my teaching approach, I find that examples are a great place to start when teaching new concepts. Making mistakes is an essential part of learning and gaining independence. I approach each challenge with positivity and a contagious growth mindset. High expectations + strong support and resources = success.
