About Katie
I have been tutoring in Law since the first year of my degree and specialise in Criminal law (although I can tutor other fields if need be). I have extensive notes and lesson plans on a variety of A-Level Law in particular; I also have access to the some of the largest legal databases which can help give an edge to your work and bag you those full marks! I approach each topic back-to-front, starting with a discussion of the topics that can come up in exams/coursework. I find this helps students put their learning into perspective and also allows them to focus on the specific topics that they are more comfortable with writing about rather than struggling to combat the entire syllabus.
After this I take a methodical approach, summarising the law in a collection of 'one-liners'. Once students understand the established law, we learn how it applies in practice (for problem questions) and the policy considerations/criticisms surrounding the law (for essay questions). Breaking down study like this simplifies the often complex process of studying the law.
