About Catriona
I’ve been a qualified History and Modern Studies teacher for 10 years. I did an undergrad in History/Politics at Glasgow University and a PGDE at the University of Edinburgh.
I have taught at a few different high schools in Edinburgh and in that time, taught all sorts of topics. I love teaching teenagers, getting to see them learn something new to them whilst they make me laugh every day.
I have also been a marker for the exam board for National 5/Higher Modern Studies and Higher History so I know exactly what they are looking for. I have experience of teaching both subjects from S1 level up to Advanced Higher and have helped pupils multiple times with their dissertations.

The first meeting will be getting to know the student, finding out the topics studied, where any gaps are and what any test scores have been.
How we study depends on the student. Some prefer to do practice questions, others need to focus on their knowledge, while some want help with coursework. We can figure out what works best for you.
