About Altesse
Hi, I'm Altesse [Al-tess], a current A-Level Student studying Edexcel Politics, History and AQA English Literature. I consistently score high marks, with my recent essays reaching high A grades—just a mark or two from an A*. Being in the middle of the same journey you're on, I understand the challenges students face from content and stress to overcoming such situations. I am passionate about helping other students unlock their full potential. I know how tough A-Levels can be, especially when it comes to exams and the pressure that follows it. My goal is to share those strategies, resources, and insights that have worked for me to help you improve your confidence, essay structure, and exam technique.

I tailor lessons to your pace, focusing on content mastery and applying that knowledge effectively in exams. One of the many ways students tend to lose marks is through not applying knowledge to the question properly or the exam board's expectations. Thus, one of the key points of focus I must chase and repeat throughout our sessions together. For example, if the lesson will be going over the content US Supreme Court, we'll work through 12 and 30 markers focusing on areas you find challenging. Together, we'll create essay plans—70% from your ideas, 30% guidance from me—to strengthen your exam technique. If timing is an issue for the student, we'll practise writing whole or half an essays in timed conditions. The A-Level itself is more difficult due to it changing constantly and not having a reliable textbook to refer to. I will provide resources to some recent events in both US and UK politics to further help you. It is also good to note that exam boards tend to prefer more recent uses of evidence. By doing this you will be able to discipline themselves effectively in the exam. These lessons are for A-Level Edexcel Politics students and I personally had finished all the content and have received exam with an A (I will also be one or two marks off an A*). Being immersed in the course at this current moment means that I fully understand the exam techniques and essay structures.
