About Charlotte
Hi I'm Charlotte from Manchester and I'm currently a first-year politics and international relations student at the University of Bristol. I studied history for 9 years, all the way from year 7 until year 13 and despite not studying it at University I am still a huge history nerd.
I wish to teach because I have always enjoyed helping friends to study, improve their marks and love watching the confidence gained by fellow students when they get back an essay with the mark they wanted. As someone who has been a tutor and also been tutored, I aim to create an environment where students feel they can make mistakes without being embarrassed. I also aim to make history enjoyable, as I feel enjoying a subject really helps with studying it

My lessons are an hour long and can be as frequent as needed!
My method of teaching history is focused on collaborating on discussing essay plans, source analysis practice and helping with studying tips. As different schools do different topics within history GCSE and A level, I focus on essays, revision and source work rather than teaching the content of the course as a teacher does in class.
I have experience of being a volunteer tutor to Year 7s and have experience being tutored in languages. This means I know both sides of the experience of being tutored and want to make a comfortable, relaxed environment for students. And as someone who achieved an A* at A level in history and a 9 at GCSE I have experienced what is needed to achieve top grades!
My lessons are for GCSE students of history and A level students of history, specifically those studying the AQA curriculum.
