About Emma
Hi! My name is Emma, and I am aged 15. I take English and English Literature in IGCSE, and I work with young students at my school, supporting them during their assessments and helping them write essays and stories that have earned As and A*s. I have experience with children and know how to adapt lessons to each child's pace and learning style. I enjoy making lessons more fun and interactive than a normal classroom while also helping them with their work productively. My goal is to create a supportive and positive environment where every child can thrive in their learning journey while feeling confident to ask questions and try new things.

My lessons are designed to make English a fun and enjoyable subject. My main focus is building strong reading skills using stories and games! I teach primary students how to analyse texts using fun activities and encouragement, as well as essay writing using creative prompts for older children. For younger years, I teach phonics and spelling to help guide them into fluency, provide free templates for handwriting,
Whether your child needs help with spelling, reading, writing or preparing for English assessments, I believe in making each lesson productive and inspiring. I use games and creative exercises to make English as fun as possible.
Each lesson is tailored to each child's needs and learning. For example, if you need extra help, a session can last up to 1 hour, but if they simply need guidance, it can be as short as 30 minutes. I believe that every child can enjoy English, and with the right guidance, develop a lifelong love for the English language.
