About Anika
I am a current English major at SUNY New Paltz, set to graduate in spring of 2025. I hold a 3.9 GPA in my major and hope to become a middle or high school English teacher. I have already begun taking education classes in anticipation of studying secondary education in graduate school. I achieved a nearly perfect score on the English portion of the SAT in high school, as well.
Outside of school, I am an avid reader, I enjoy playing with my two pet bunnies, and I recently learned to crochet!

It is my priority to get to know students and adapt to their goals, needs, and learning styles, as well as to incorporate feedback along the way. I am always eager to determine that which helps each student learn and succeed!
Depending on academic goals, a lesson might include reading an excerpt and answering questions or performing analysis. It may also involve writing exercises followed by feedback and further lessons based on areas that appear to need a bit of extra practice.
I am available to tutor middle and high school students in English. I am also able to provide SAT test prep for the English portion of the exam.
Most of all, I hope to encourage a joy for reading and literature, as well as comfort with writing for academic success and effective communication!
