About Ava
I am a current biomedical science student at university that graduated high school top of her class. I have taken AP Biology, as well as university level cellular biology, genetics, human physiology, and etc, excelling in all of them. I have experience tutoring science courses in high school and also have formed study groups at my university for STEM students. I have also been a camp counsellor so I have experience teaching students from a range of 5-12 as well.

Typical lengths of my lessons are 45-50 minutes and organising subjects by unit. For biology we would start with the basics of life and cellular biology, ending with ecology. We would target specific areas that the student may be struggling with and if helpful going through practice tests relevant to the course. For anatomy/physiology it would be more organised based on body systems, targeting a different system each lesson. In both subjects the use of diagrams and drawing will be greatly used if helpful to the student, and will focus more on understanding than memorising.
