About Marcos
I'm Marcos, a Computer Engineering graduate from Cape Town. I finished my degree Cum Laude, which took a lot of discipline, problem-solving, and long nights, but it also gave me a deep understanding of math, physics, programming, and how to explain difficult things simply.
I've spent a good chunk of my academic life helping other students get through tough subjects. During university, I regularly mentored classmates through modules that most people struggled with, and I found that I genuinely enjoy the moment when something finally clicks for someone.
I'm fluent in both English and Portuguese. I hold professional certifications from Microsoft and LinkedIn in data analysis and software development, and my technical background covers Python, Java, C#, SQL, and embedded systems. So whether you need help with school-level math or you're learning to code for the first time, I can meet you where you are.
Outside of tutoring, I'm into technology, music, and staying curious about how things work. I'm patient, I don't judge where you're starting from, and I believe anyone can learn anything with the right guidance and a bit of persistence.

Every student learns differently, so I start by understanding where you are and what you're working towards. From there I build each lesson around your specific needs, whether that's preparing for an exam, getting unstuck on a concept, or building a skill from scratch.
I teach English, Mathematics, Physics, and Programming (Python, Java, C#, C, Embedded C). I'm fluent in English and Portuguese, so I can teach in either language. My background in Computer Engineering means I don't just explain theory, I show you how it works in practice, with real examples that actually make sense.
A typical lesson with me is relaxed and interactive. I break down complex topics step by step, check understanding as we go, and adjust my pace to match yours. I use plenty of examples, and I encourage questions because that's where the real learning happens.
