About Josefa
I grew up speaking Spanish in Cuba and communicate in both Spanish and English. This allows me to explain unfamiliar words and concepts clearly while helping students understand how Spanish is used naturally in conversation.
I am a patient teacher who understands that learning another language requires practice, repetition, and encouragement. I create a comfortable environment where students can speak without being embarrassed by mistakes.
I enjoy helping children and adults develop useful communication skills, improve their pronunciation, and become more confident understanding and speaking Spanish in everyday life.

My Spanish lessons focus on helping beginners communicate with greater confidence in everyday situations. Students develop useful vocabulary, pronunciation, listening comprehension, sentence formation, conversational ability, and an understanding of essential grammar.
Each lesson is adapted to the student’s age, current level, interests, and reasons for learning Spanish. A typical session includes a review, new vocabulary or grammar, guided conversation, listening practice, and an activity that helps the student use what was learned.
Lessons are suitable for children and adults who are beginning Spanish or want to strengthen basic speaking skills. Instruction is available in person in Miami or online. My goal is to make Spanish understandable, practical, and enjoyable while helping every student progress at a comfortable pace.
