About Julia
I am an Oxford PPE graduate (Class of 2025) with experience tutoring students in economics, essay writing, and Oxford interview preparation. My work focuses on helping students develop intellectual confidence, clarity of thought, and the ability to engage critically with complex ideas.
I specialise in Socratic-style, discussion-based learning in which students are encouraged to question assumptions, explore multiple perspectives, and articulate their thinking clearly. These skills are increasingly important in an age of information overload and artificial intelligence.
Alongside my academic work I am deeply interested in education as a tool for social change. I aim to balance private tutoring with educational work in under-resourced communities.

My lessons are one-to-one, discussion-based sessions focused on developing critical thinking skills in the age of artificial intelligence. Using a Socratic approach, students are encouraged to question assumptions, analyse language and ideas, and articulate their thinking clearly in speech and writing. Sessions help students learn how to use AI as a tool rather than outsourcing their thinking, while building intellectual confidence, rigorous reasoning, and the ability to engage thoughtfully with complex issues. Lessons are personalised, supportive, and adapted to each student’s age, interests, and goals.
