About Kapity
I am a senior undergraduate at the University of Arkansas. I have a major in Creative Writing and minors in Spanish and Honors interdisciplinary studies. As an aspiring professor, I have taken multiple pedagogy classes, taught multiple class periods and have experience creating lesson plans.

My class is flexible. I will choose readings, prompts for short writing assignments, and lesson focus based on the students' interests. I want to cover many interesting styles of poetry that I hope will expand your idea of what a poem is, and what it can be. Everything from the Exquisite Corpse to the sonnet will be analyzed. Out of class readings and writing assignments will be concise and reasonable, and hopefully thought-provoking.
Previous knowledge of poetic terminology is NOT required: that's what this class is for!
