About Mary
With 9 years of piano teaching experience, I have worked with students from schools, colleges, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy emphasises patience, creativity, and personalising lessons to suit each student’s learning style. I aim to create lessons that are enjoyable, productive, and tailored to students’ goals while helping them build technical skills and expressive musicality. Many of my students have performed confidently in recitals, competitions, and public events. I focus on combining music theory, technique, and creative exercises to develop both skill and a love for music. Structured practice plans and modern tools make lessons interactive and engaging. I am dedicated to helping students reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong passion for piano. Each lesson is designed to inspire confidence, growth, and joy in learning music.

My teaching approach focuses on compassion, understanding, and clear explanation. I aim to make piano lessons easy to follow and stress-free. I teach piano fundamentals such as posture, finger movement, rhythm, and reading notes step by step. I explain concepts patiently and give enough time for practice. I encourage open communication during lessons. I listen to students’ needs and provide clear feedback and encouragement. Besides piano, I teach music theory, scales, chords, rhythm exercises, and basic improvisation. These related subjects support complete musical development. I also help students develop good practice habits. My supportive teaching style helps students gain confidence and enjoy learning.
