Do you find the intricate dance of electron movement across organic mechanisms overwhelming? My 3 years of experience as a boot-camp leader have taught me that students often struggle most with the transition from rote memorization to true structural fluency. Having earned a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, I translate difficult concepts into logical, actionable frameworks. I focus heavily on NMR spectroscopy, SN1 and SN2 reactions, and the nuances of alcohols and ethers.
Radical reactions and isomerism are equally critical components of my instruction. Carbonyl chemistry and retrosynthesis often present roadblocks, yet these are exactly the areas the AAMC tests with the greatest frequency. Elimination reactions require a specific mental model that I help you build from the ground up.
Beyond the textbook, I enjoy distilling high-level science into concepts that feel manageable for pre-meds and IB students alike. Outside of clinical science, I spend my time refining my own understanding of chemistry through independent research projects.
