About Marcos
Hi! My name is Marcos and I am currently a Mechanical Engineering student at Cornell University. I have a strong background in math and science and enjoy helping others understand challenging concepts in a simple and approachable way.
I am patient, reliable, and easy to work with, and I always aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to fit their needs and pace.
Through my academic experience and years of helping others with schoolwork, I have developed strong problem-solving and communication skills that allow me to explain topics clearly and effectively. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident and independent in their learning.

I structure my lessons based on each student’s needs and current level. I start by identifying what they are struggling with, then break down concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations that are easy to follow.
A typical session includes reviewing homework or class material, practicing similar problems together, and building confidence through repetition and understanding. I focus on making sure students truly understand why they are doing each step, not just memorizing formulas.
What sets me apart is my patience and ability to explain concepts in different ways until they click. I have several years of experience helping my younger sister and middle school students with schoolwork, which has helped me develop a supportive and adaptable teaching style.
My lessons are designed for middle and high school students who want to improve their grades, prepare for exams, or build a stronger foundation in math and chemistry. High school students are also welcome to ask questions about college applications, and I will do my best to guide them and share helpful advice.
I aim to make sessions productive but also comfortable, so students feel confident asking questions and improving over time.
